BACKGROUND and HISTORY

    Started in 1988, the Nockamixon Yacht Club (NYC)  was created by a group of enthusiastic sailors to provide an organization  which would:

(1)  Promote the art of sailing,

(2)  Help  improve sailing conditions at Lake Nockamixon,

(3)  Encourage safe boating practices,

(4)  Provide an opportunity for sailors to participate in social functions related to sailing, and,

(5)  Offer support to other non-profit organizations in developing sailing skills and water safety.    

     Offering events such as races, parades, sailing skill improvement sessions and theme picnics,  Nockamixon Yacht Club has something to offer everyone interested in sailing.

      The Club does not have a permanent club house but erects a tent for each event.  Look for the  Nocamixon Yacht Club

sign and join us for the day, you are always welcome under the big tent.
